Description
Replenish the factory hardware of your monster truck with this genuine Tamiya Screw Bag A. This is the specific hardware sack required for the initial assembly phases of the Super Clod Buster and Bullhead chassis.
If you are restoring a vintage Clod, rebuilding your axles after a season of mud bogging, or simply stripped a few screws during maintenance, this bag contains the exact metric fasteners used in the gearboxes and suspension links.

-
3x15mm Tapping Screws
-
Various smaller assembly screws for the gear cases.

Installation Advice
The “JIS” Difference: Tamiya screws are NOT standard Phillips screws. They are JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard).
-
Use the Right Driver: If you use a standard hardware store “Phillips #2” screwdriver, you will “cam out” and strip the heads of these screws, especially when driving them into the hard plastic axles.
-
Get a JIS Driver: Use a Tamiya Tool Set or a specific JIS +2 Screwdriver to ensure a tight grip and zero stripped heads.
-
Grease the Threads: When driving long screws (like the 3x30mm) into the hard plastic gearboxes, dip the screw tip in a tiny bit of grease or soap. This reduces friction and prevents the plastic from cracking or the screw from snapping halfway in.
