Proper installation and consistent use of the 5-point harness restraint system are critical for your safety in the event of an accident. To reduce the risk of serious injury or death:
- Follow Instructions: Always adhere to vehicle manufacturers’ and PRP Seats instructions and safety messages during installation and use.
- Secure All Belts: Use all belts provided, securing the lap belt first; ensure it is low and snug across the hips. Tighten the sternum strap at the chest line (minimum 4” below the neck). Adjust remaining straps per instructions to confirm the harness restrains the user and provides safe clearance from the wheel, dash, roll cage, etc.
- Regular Inspections: Inspect all components of the 5-point harness restraint system regularly and replace them as indicated by accidents, wear, or abrasion. Replace no later than 2 years from the date on the SFI tag (if applicable).
