Description
The Digital Multi-Retard offers an array of advanced features without the need for additional modules. With four distinct stages of retard and an adjustable start retard feature, this MSD Multi-Retard is designed for precision timing control.
Utilizing a high-speed RISC microcontroller, this controller ensures swift compensations to the timing, maintaining accuracy within 1°. It incorporates an innovative Magnetic Pick-Up Compensation circuit, providing consistent timing with various magnetic pick-ups.
The four independent retard stages can be activated individually or collectively, offering a cumulative sum of retards. Each stage is adjustable from 0° to 9°, allowing a maximum retard of 20°. Additionally, there’s an optional start retard circuit that can be programmed to retard the timing by 5°, 10°, 15°, or 20° during cranking. Compatible with 4, 6, or 8-cylinder engines, the Digital Multi-Retard is designed to be used in conjunction with an MSD Ignition Control.
