Description
This cold air intake system achieved an impressive 14 horsepower gain and a maximum torque increase of 20 lbs. x ft. It significantly outperformed the factory intake by 21% on the 2010-2011 Chevrolet Camaro V6-3.6L. The kit includes an 18-gauge powder-coated heat shield and a large 8″ tall aFe Power Pro DRY S filter that is oil-free. The air filter features a unique, patent-pending flange retention design, eliminating the need for any additional hardware to secure it to the heat shield, making installation quick and hassle-free. The one-piece mandrel-bent intake tube, finished in wrinkle-black powder-coating, maximizes air velocity, resulting in enhanced performance and improved throttle response. This kit is a direct bolt-on and does not require any cutting or drilling of OEM parts.
Filter Flange Retention Design: The air filter uses a unique and patented flange retention design that simplifies the installation process by eliminating the need for extra hardware to secure the filter to the heat shield.
8″ Tall 360 Degree Air Filter: The kit incorporates an extra-large 8″ tall air filter for maximum filtration convenience. The Pro DRY S performance air filter is designed with 3 layers of progressively finer mesh synthetic “oil-free” media and is constructed with 100% polyurethane for durability and the ability to undergo multiple cleaning cycles without requiring oils.
One-Piece Filter Housing: The air filter is enclosed within a one-piece, 18-gauge heat shield that is powder-coated in black. This heat shield effectively prevents warm engine air from entering, ensuring optimal performance. It utilizes factory mounting locations and includes all necessary hardware for straightforward installation.
Hassle-Free Installation: aFe has designed this intake system for an easy installation process that utilizes the existing factory mounting locations.
Dyno-Tested Intake Tube: The intake tube is engineered to maximize air velocity. It has undergone dyno-testing and flow analysis using advanced engineering tools to deliver peak performance and improved throttle response.
