Installation Advice

The “Paper Strip” Mesh: Setting the gap between this plastic gear and the metal motor gear (pinion) is critical.

1. Too Tight: The car will whine loudly, the motor will overheat, and you will melt the teeth off this gear in minutes.

2. Too Loose: You will strip the tops of the teeth off instantly when you hit the gas.

3. The Fix: Loosen the motor screws. Slide a thin strip of notebook paper between the gears. Push the motor tight against the paper and lock it down. When you pull the paper out, the gap is perfect.
