The MSD 8740 Coil Current Booster enhances power delivery to Ford coil-on-plug engines, catering to additional horsepower needs. Specifically designed for Ford Modular Engines featuring Coil-on-Plug ignitions, the CCB bolsters spark energy at the plug gap, making it particularly advantageous for high-performance engines with elevated cylinder pressure from factors such as increased compression ratios, nitrous injection, or forced induction. Beyond increased power, the CCB incorporates a built-in Two-Step rev limiter, ensuring consistent launches for improved track performance. Adjustments to the Two-Step RPM can be easily made using rotary switches, ranging from 1,000 to 10,900 rpm in 100 and 1,000 rpm increments. Installation is straightforward, with factory-style wiring connectors that plug directly into stock coils and harnesses, providing a quick and efficient solution to amplify ignition power on Ford Modular Engines.
